There was a time when sports was considered to be a man’s world but that is now in the past because these females are giving their male counterparts a run for their money by achieving greatness in their sport. However, unlike sportsmen, many individuals continue to remain in the dark about these females who have changed the world and history for their gender. Although several debates have arisen about whether Serena Williams is the greatest female tennis player of all time one can claim that even if she is not the greatest her name is forever linked to the list of powerful women in sports. Furthermore, when one thinks about female sportswomen her name would be the first to come to their mind because during her career she managed to win 23 Grand Slam Titles. An achievement that not even Roger Federer managed to achieve.  Moreover, in the year 2016, she was named the world’s highest- paid female athlete.

Ronda Rousey

Mixed Martial Arts also known as MMA is ordinarily considered to be a man’s sport due to its brutality, however, Ronda managed to dominate this field since her debut and is currently considered to be one of the greatest MMA stars in history. This is mainly because she’s known for trash talking her opponents before brutally defeating them. Furthermore, she has not only managed to shine in the arena of MMA because in the year 2008 she became the first American woman to earn an Olympic gold in judo.

Jackie Joyner Kersee

She is considered to be one of the greatest female track stars of all time because she not only dominated one Olympic arena but instead managed to medal at four different Olympics. By the age of 34, she not only had 4 Gold Olympic medals to her name but also one Silver and Bronze. Furthermore, she was also a professional Basketball player starting in the UCLA.

Babe Didrikson Zaharias

In a time where female athletes were considered to not have a place in the Sports world, she managed to break through all these prejudices to excel at every sport she tried her hands on. Apart from being an All-American in basketball, she made other individuals in the sports field to consider her to be a formidable figure when she won two gold and silver Olympic medals in track.  She also excelled at Golf even winning 41 LPGA events.

These individuals not only excelled in sports but they also managed to change the world for female athletes all over the world.
