The Cycling Promotion Fund is an innovative initiative of Bicycle Industries Australia Ltd (BIA) to enable the bicycle industry to work collectively to promote and encourage cycling and to work with stakeholders around Australia to create a more bicycle friendly Australia.
We achieve this by:
- Lifting the profile of cycling as a great activity for everyone,
- Providing accessible information for people wanting to take up cycling or get more out of cycling,
- Working with other organisations to make Australia more bicycle friendly,
- Supporting initiatives which achieve measurable results in increasing cycling levels,
- Undertaking and supporting research to ensure the industry is responsive to changing consumer demands,
- Recognising, rewarding and encouraging innovation and achievements through the Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards,
- Fostering cooperation and coordination within the cycling sector in Australia,
- Developing publications and resources to raise awareness of the benefits of cycling for individuals, communities, business and governments
Our income is generated from membership of wholesalers, manufacturers and distributors of products and services.
