Nominations

Nominations for the 2008 Australian Bicycling Achievement Award are invited from individuals, organisations, schools, businesses and Government Departments that have made a valuable contribution towards promoting and encouraging cycling.

How to nominate

We would like to keep the nomination process as simple and straight forward as possible but at the same time we require enough information for the selection committee to make an informed choice.

We have developed an online nomination process and encourage nominators to use the online nomination form to submit an application. If you are unable to make an online nomination, hard copies are also accepted.

Please consider the particular Award category criteria and eligibility when submitting a nomination. Although the 2008 Awards focus on accomplishments related to cycling in the past year, providing details of past involvement is useful.

There are three components to the nominations:

  • Nomination form (contact details of nominator as well as nominee)
  • A short summary of the nominee's contribution to cycling or an outline of the program/initiative (up to 100 words) this will be used in the Bicycling Achievement Award booklet
  • A more detailed outline of the nomination providing details of the achievements, partnerships, outcomes and commitment (up to 800 words)

Photos and other supporting documentation can be provided as attachments

Deadline for nominations

Please ensure nominations are made by December 19th 2008

Judging Process

Judging will be conducted by a selection panel who will decide the winners in each category. The panel will comprise representatives from Australian cycling bodies, local government and a University. All decisions made by the selection committee will be final.
